YPAG Mental Health Concepts
Our first official YPAG session started with a really important discussion about mental health concepts

We discussed the following mental health concepts to decide which should be included in the MHIM study based on how important they are to young people.

These included: Depression, Anxiety, Wellbeing, Quality of Life, Suicide Ideation, Behavioural Problems, Eating Disorders, Emotional Regulation and Body Dysmorphia.

We also asked the YPAG members to discuss, rank and provide other factors that can influence mental health concepts.Â

These included: Academics stress, sleep, physical activity, social media use and relationships. Young people also asked us to consider: loneliness, home life, food/diet, identity and sexuality, neurodiversity, trauma and emetophobia
